In the May of 2018, I graduated from the University of Maryland. 3 months later, I started Hive Creatives, (then known as dp Marketing Company)! I knew I was creative, I knew I was motivated, and I knew I didn’t want to work a 9-5 job. I had no idea whether it'd be successful or a failure. But I made the decision to do what makes ME happy instead of what was expected of a recent college grad. I decided that I wasn't going to waste any time doing something that I didn't love or that I wasn't passionate about just because that was the norm or the "safer" option. I chose to believe in myself. And let me just say, it was the right choice! 2 years later and I’ve combined what lights me up with what I'm good at, and created a successful business from that. It is truly a beautiful thing when passion and skill combine.

Hive Creatives is a boutique creative agency offering ~bee's knees~ creative solutions for small businesses. We help our clients leverage their social media to consistently attract new business while staying top of mind with their existing clientele. This way, they as the biz owner can focus on delivering an exceptional experience once their customer steps through your door. Social Media is an essential piece of a business marketing strategy and can help you connect with your customers, increase awareness about your brand, and boost your leads and sales. Social media management has become more than just a side task. With the power of social influences on consumers, it is more important than ever that businesses trust a professional to manage this sector of their business. That’s where The Hive Team can help! We’ll take care of these time-consuming tasks so you can focus on all the other aspects of your business, confident that your online marketing is in good hands.

One of the most difficult things about working from home is the fact that my 'work' is always there. I don't have the ability to leave an office at the end of my shift or to "clock-out" at the end of the day, (both literally and figuratively!) While I have a physical place to call my "workspace" at home, it has always been difficult to detach myself from my work at the end of the day. 👩🏼‍💻 I am ALWAYS on the clock and no matter what, my work is with me at all times.

That’s where The CoCo came in! After attending a workshop last summer hosted by my business coach at the time, I was hooked! The CoCo has given me the opportunity to not only get out of the house, (and let's be real, before joining this co-working space, I'd go DAYS without leaving my house 😂...), but it's provided me with a space to learn, work, connect, & network with like-minded women. I'm so thankful to be a part of this incredible, women-centered co-working community that is filled with the most supportive, inspirational, and bad a** women! 🧡
