Meet Vani!

Give us your background and your story! We want readers to know a little more about your journey.

Like many other people who are in charge of their home decor, I have always struggled to find works of art that truly speak to my family and me. Most people set out looking for artwork that is specific to an idea they have or a space to furnish, but they end up getting frustrated by high price points and a lack of connection with art that was made for different contexts. Having worked with artists all my life and armed with a Harvard Business School degree, I formed CoCo Gallery (www.cocogallery.com) in 2015 to solve this problem.

Tell us about your business or work, so readers know about what you do and how you could potentially help them

CoCo Gallery is the only online service that matches individuals to fine artists for custom wall-art. After helping clients (sometimes interior designers) find the right artist within its large global network, CoCo Gallery then takes care of the end-to-end logistics of a commission and guarantees client satisfaction by moderating communication and checking in on the progress of the work at key stages. Abstract, landscape, and portrait commissions range from $350 to $15,000 and are completed in about 4-6 weeks.

How did you hear about The Co-Co and what prompted you to join?

As a mother of two young girls, my company naturally appeals to women just like me – those that want to freeze time or capture a beautiful moment, and have it visually depicted in the parts of their home that they most frequent. We enable our clients to communicate their vision and to collaborate with a trusted artist to create an original painting, a one-of-a-kind work of art made just for them.

Why you love co-working and how it helps your business!

I heard about the Co-Co through the Summit grape-vine.  Aside from being tickled by the coincidence in name, I was so impressed and excited by a cool co-working space for women in the suburbs.  As a recent Hoboken transplant, the Co-Co has been an amazing way to meet other inspiring women and to feel supported locally. Every time I work there, I feel like I have colleagues, cheerleaders, and most of all, possibility!
