Member Spotlight: Amy Radin

I spent 25 years in Big Corporate America, where I held roles in marketing and general management at American Express, led the digital transformation of Citi Cards, originated the role of Citi’s first Chief Innovation Officer, and also held executive roles at E*TRADE, AXA and Readers Digest.

In 2014 I decided to leave the corporate world and shape a new career as an independent executive. Through networking, discovery, and trying out new opportunities I’ve built a portfolio of advisory assignments with startups and family-owned businesses, serve on a board, speak at events, and wrote and published an award-winning book, The Change Maker’s Playbook: How to Seek, Seed and Scale Innovation In Any Company. I also became an active angel investor. Prior to 2014 I could not have imagined doing any of these things.

I heard about The Co-Co when I was publicizing one of my talks, and a Summit friend told me about a women’s co-working space that was about to open. Suzanne and I connected, she attended my bookstore event, and I became one of Co-Co’s first members.

Co-working has been great for me. I love the flexibility of my current career, but I dislike the isolation of working from a home office – too many distractions and no one with whom to share ideas or challenges. After so many years of commuting to NYC it is a delight to meet so many inspiring women in the suburbs, and to share my expertise and perspective with them.
