What’s Hot at The Co-Co: Week of February 12, 2023

Every February, people in the United States honor the achievements and history of Black Americans. It's a time to intentionally seek out stories of little-known Black History heroines and heroes and a reminder of our obligation to progress on diversity and inclusion.

What have you read, seen, or heard? We're sharing resources and information amongst the community throughout the month and would love to hear from you.

The Co-Co is 4 years old! Time to celebrate the welcoming and impactful community we’ve built for you.

Four years ago, we opened our doors to create a community that provides impact, value, and opportunity to one another. We have empowered members to develop genuine, supportive relationships to grow their businesses, enhance their lives, and increase their impact on the world. In 2023 we will continue to creatively explore ways to catalyze our personal, professional, and communal growth.

Member Spotlight: Meet Erica Lasan

I’m on a mission to transform the world (and future generations) through RADICAL JOY!

But this mission is really two-fold. On a Corporate level, I help organizations learn how they can improve their work culture through the lens of JOY. With this, I deliver corporate trainings/presentations/workshops that I’ve developed to help companies understand how workplace well-being (and JOY!) can cultivate better employee engagement, workplace fulfillment, and drive tangible results that will ultimately help them make more money!

On a personal level though, this JOYrney™ work really revolves around helping individuals understand how they can create more: time, energy, and space for JOY in their life, career, and relationships. So with this, I also offer coaching and consulting services to help guide women in transition navigate their way to “what’s next” with aligned accountability as they reimagine what’s possible!

Member Spotlight: Meet Liz Miller

I spent the first half of my career in front a computer. As an M&A analyst, then internal hedge fund security analyst with First Boston in the 1980s, I was on the leading edge of Wall Street’s boom in quantitative analysts. In the early 90’s, I joined Oppenheimer Mutual Funds; after managing mutual funds for a short-time, I realized I wanted to use my experience and expertise to more directly help people achieve their financial goals. I went on to become managing director and the head of equity research for Trevor, Stewart, Burton & Jacobsen in New York, where I managed and advised institutional and individual clients.
