Supriya Nabar

My name is Supriya Nabar, I am a Nutritionist, Cookbook Author and a Food Entrepreneur. I make spice blends, flavored salts and seasonings. The philosophy of my business is to create value and convenience for my client base. I have also lived in London for approximately 2 years and have travelled in Europe and Asia extensively. I am interested in knowing about other cultures, their cuisines and their traditions. I sell my spice blends on my website, Also some stores in New Jersey are selling the blends. My goal going further is to expand my business with dry spices, salts and seasonings and eventually branch out into sauces, marinades and chutneys.

I came from a middle class family and lived in Mumbai, India. I came to USA when I got admission to a university in Texas. After finishing my undergrad studies I moved to NYC. I found my husband in New York and later got admitted to Columbia University for Masters in Nutrition. I worked several years in NYC hospitals as a clinical nutritionist. After having my daughter we moved to New Jersey and I lived in Summit, NJ. After living in Summit for a few years and having a son we decided to move to London. Staying in Europe was the best thing which happened to me. It expanded my horizons. It helped me see different possibilities and different paths. It introduced me to new cultures, cuisines and new people. I just loved it. I have so many friends now all from different ethnicities and different backgrounds. I am still in touch with many of them. Since my kids were growing up and the Summit house started feeling small . We eventually moved to Short Hills and I am still living in Short Hills. Life is good and my journey which started in India and NYC and has brought me back to Short Hills. I cannot say that my journey was easy. There were many many difficult situations. But also there were many many sweet moments. I am still continuing my journey and navigating my life as a mother, wife and a business entrepreneur.

I knew about Co-Co some time ago and wanted to participate in the Holiday Market. Becoming a vendor to sell my blends prompted me to join this amazing group of women. I am still relatively new in this group but going forward I see connecting with different women in the wellness area. Also the e-commerce group is awesome.
