My story is deeply rooted in connection and perspective. Growing up in an Indian household in Scotch Plains, NJ, our home was always a hub of warmth and welcome—it felt like we had a glowing “No Vacancy” sign in the front yard! This upbringing instilled in me the importance of kindness, embracing others, being present, and, most crucially, listening to their stories.
This theme of connection has been a constant throughout my life and led me to my passion for Organizational Psychology at McGill University in Montreal and to a fulfilling career in Human Capital consulting in New York City for over 18 years.
Fast-forward to 2025, after becoming a parent and navigating life post-pandemic, I now find myself on a new path in Short Hills, NJ. My journey has evolved into a more profound mission to support those in need and distress. As a crisis counselor and Board Chair for Caring Contact — a nonprofit dedicated to emotional well-being and suicide prevention — I have the privilege of being trained to support individuals in distress. My work with Caring Contact and the 988 Lifeline has given me the privilege of being trained to support individuals in crisis, “sitting” with them in their darkest moments simply by listening and providing empathy.
The most innovative thinking and successful collaborations emerge from teams that cultivate trust and work together effectively. I am a passionate leader in HR and mental health, committed to developing and implementing strategies that prioritize the well-being of individuals and the communities they serve, all while being grounded in business strategy and robust metrics. My vision is to help organizations adopt a well-being culture that fuels growth and contributes to a brighter future for all.
I am a proud member of the Co-Co community, having joined when it first opened its doors on Summit Avenue. Susan Ross, one of my friends from Rye, Westchester, introduced me to the Co-Co through her connection with Suzanne Williams.
The Co-Co has been my sanctuary—a vibrant space to connect with bright, inspiring women in our local community. Through its enriching workshops and affinity groups, it has helped me redefine my career. I deeply value the connections I’ve made and look forward to continuing to build relationships and grow within this incredible community.
