Member Spotlight: Meet Nadege Nicoll

I was born and raised in France, but left at 22 to explore the world. After a few years in Asia and Germany, I settled in England, where I met my husband. We moved to the US in 2007. In 2012, I started to write a book series for children, based on my experience trying to raise three kids (emphasize on trying).  Somehow, this led me to deciding I wanted my own bookstore (?) Et voila! It all pretty much looks like a series of accidents, but here I am.

My store offers very curated titles, gems that are under the radar. I am particularly proud of my children's section for its diversity, and books with beautiful messages focused on empathy, acceptance. I am a big advocate of local support, and a fair amount of the store bestsellers are from local authors. I offer a very personal service, with specific recommendations tailored to individuals.

I am neighbors with one of the founders! I have followed the Co-Co since its creation, but being absorbed by my own new business (the store opened in 2018), I never took the time to consider joining, even though I always thought our businesses were very well aligned: hyper local, focused on educating and growing individuals. After 4 years in business, it became obvious to me that I was missing a support network of like minded people.
