Member Spotlight: Meet Sami Main

I wear quite a few hats! I'm currently in grad school, and eventually plan on pursuing a PhD in either theology or church history. Previously, I worked in digital journalism/social media before moving into freelance copywriting/editing. While working full time, I wrote and published a book through Harper Collins titled "How to Deal: Tarot for Everyday Life."

With my life coach certification, I'm currently working with creatives -- or people who would *like* to work as a creative -- to refine what their relationship to writing looks like. We often get bogged down by the perfectionistic/idealized lifestyle of writers and other artists, and I help people embrace their "imperfections." I also offer editing and high-level critique of your pieces to help them get even better.

When I lived in Brooklyn, I was a member of a charming, small co-working space that happened to be right around the block from me. I've found that getting out of the house every once in a while is incredibly important to my creative writing -- it's all too easy to become distracted or less productive at home!
