Member Spotlight: Meet Kim Kassnove
I'm a Jersey Girl! I grew up in South Orange and I now live in South Orange with my kids and insanely fluffy exotic black cat! Though I am still in the town I grew up in, I've made a bunch of stops along the way. I went to college at Tufts University in Medford, MA where I studied theater. Fun fact, I was the artistic director of the University's one and only mime troupe, HYPE! If you would ever like to learn how to be "stuck in a box", just let me know. I'd be delighted to offer a tutorial.
I am lots of things - an artist, coach, writer, and facilitator. I am most alive when I have multiple plates spinning, so you'll see that reflected in my business. First and foremost, I am a Co-Active PCC coach! I help people who are feeling stuck (at work and in life) to harness their intuition and make juicy and powerful moves into what's next for themselves. I've helped people quit their job, start a business, take a road trip, get a divorce, get a sick-ass promotion, decide to have a baby, and write their book! No topic is off the table for me.
I want my clients to live life to the max, and I help them to define what that is, and then support them to take steps to make it happen! In corporate spaces, I support executives to stay and get smart about managing their teams, define what they need to be successful and support them to get what they need in their current context. I run leadership cohorts and a la carte workshops that focus on empathy and culture building in the workplace as well as on topics like "How to deliver and receive challenging feedback". It's my belief that you can be clear AND kind in the workplace, however, if you don't know how to do it, it's super hard to do.
I am a writer, and I run six weeks groups called Write On! - these groups are intended to get the resistant writer to get their big ol' ASS IN THE SEAT and write already! I encourage participants to stop waiting for the muse. They ARE the muse, they just need to write the damn thing! People in my groups have gone on to get published, finish their novels, write academic papers, and collections of poems and some have even won short story contests! It's a great space to get yourself into WRITING. I create mixed media collage art: https://deathbypapercuts.com - I create original art that comes from a deep and intuitive place, and I also commission work for clients.
I run creative workshops that marry life coaching with the act of creation - these are ad hoc, so keep an eye out for announcements about upcoming events. I am running a group for separated and divorced women who want to design their lives that kicks off on Feb 14th. If you or anyone you know might want the space to look ahead and make a life design, let me know. Our lives are a work of art. With every decision, we get to choose the color, pattern, and texture of it just like an artist would with their canvas. I want my clients to approach their lives creatively with the knowledge that we're all making it up as we go along, so you may as well choose the made-up things that bring you joy, and pleasure, and feel authentically resonant.
I am going through a divorce, and during the last six months, I got quiet and slow in my business and my life. During this time I became reflective about what I wanted for this year in my business, and the resounding word that I heard was "Community". I want my business to be built in a community with other women, and I can think of no better community of women than at the Co-Co. I am thrilled to share who I am with you all, and I truly can't wait to meet each of you, and learn more about who you are!
