Member Spotlight: Meet Jenny Mayfield

I grew up in Tallahassee, FL, and Washington, DC. As a photographer, I have worked in-house for agencies, newspapers, and nonprofits and launched my own studio (after having kids) in Frankfurt, Germany, and Zürich, Switzerland. Living in Europe was incredible, but after 14 years, it was time to let my kids experience America and reconnect with family and friends. We moved to Summit, NJ in the summer of 2022. So far, so good!

I create black and white portraits for women and children that are natural and real, stripped down to the basics so I can focus on eyes, faces, and personalities. I offer packages for women who need business images, and I love it when they bring their kids or partners so we can create work for both parts of their life. I spent three weeks in Madagascar last summer with a climate-change NGO, documenting tree-planting and reforestation efforts. I created hours of content so they could more widely introduce their work to a new audience of donors. I hope to work with similar organizations changing things for the better in developing countries.

I joined the Co-Co after asking around for business networking groups. It is the perfect place for a newcomer to Summit. It gives me events to attend and area experts I was looking for! I have been very impressed!
