Although the first 10 years of my career focused on consumer package goods (CPG) marketing, I discovered a love of school admissions work while serving as a graduate student admissions ambassador at NYU’s Stern School of Business. Several years later, I returned to NYU’s business school to work full-time as a Senior Associate Director of Admissions and Marketing. Although I loved my job, and initially had no plans to leave, after moving to N.J., and commuting 1.5 hours each way with young children at home, I made the difficult decision to explore new opportunities.

After initially transitioning to a role as an MBA admissions consultant with a boutique firm, in 2016 I joined The Pingry School, where I worked for more than five years as an admissions and communications associate. As an admission interviewer, file reader, and admission committee member, I developed insights into how the admissions process works, and what applications stand out. Through my experience, I also discovered how much I love working with applicants, while helping them discover right-fit schools where they will be happy and thrive. Over the past few years, and especially during COVID-19, friends and former colleagues have sought my advice on private school and college applications for their own children, and I realized how much I enjoy guiding them through the overwhelming process. In May 2021, I launched my own educational consultancy, Glasofer Educational Consulting, in order to dedicate more time to helping students gain acceptance to right-fit schools, where they will thrive and become their best selves.

Glasofer Educational Consulting provides a supportive, student-centered approach to applying to private day and boarding schools as well as graduate schools. My goal is to help demystify the admissions experience and focus on finding the right school for each applicant, with as little stress as possible. I equip clients with important knowledge about schools, keep them on track with deadlines, and help prepare for interviews and other important application components. Because I understand what personal qualities and academic factors resonate with admissions committees, I help my clients strengthen their candidacy by communicating their own personal strengths and authentic stories. I’m available every step along the way, and I pledge to make the process illuminating, informative, and even fun!

I learned about The Co-Co through a former Pingry colleague of mine who knows Lauren, one of the co-founders. Because I was a little nervous about starting a consultancy on my own, I was looking for camaraderie and guidance from other inspiring Co-Co members. I love how encouraging everyone has been and on days when I’m working alone from home, I’ve enjoyed the collegial online community coffees to “visit” with other members. I enjoy helping others and I look forward to giving back to the Co-Co community in the future!
